I’m a track coach and my daughter started throwing this year. I figured if I got her a discus in her favorite color she might be more inclined to practice. We got the purple (78%) 1kg. I have enjoyed Gill implements for over 25 years, but didn’t feel like I could commit to dropping $300+ on a Hollowood so I gave the S-series a try. While we haven’t had it long, I’m really impressed. It has a great feel, nice balance and it is way more sturdy than I pictured a “transparent disc” to be! Right now she’s struggling to rotate it but that’s to be expected for a beginning thrower. That’s the price you pay for getting the color you want 😀. Great value and I’m looking into trying other discs in the S-Series!
